Essential Skills For Team Leaders, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and Agile Coaches...
A central point of all agile methods is that we're supposed to be improving over time. Many teams either don't know how, or fail to make the time to do that.
"At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly." - Agile Manifesto

In part 1, we will look at the simplest possible retro format. We’ll talk about the basic pattern behind a retro and the fundamental steps you need to understand. Even if you’ve never facilitated a retrospective before, part 1 will give you enough of the basics to run your first one.

Then in part 3, we’ll focus on all of those subtle tips and tricks to take your retrospectives to the next level. This is where we’ll talk about neuroscience and psychology, about human behaviour and motivation and psychological safety.

In part 2, we’ll expand out those basic fundamentals by looking at a variety of different retrospective styles. We’ll see how each is different and yet how they all follow a common pattern. We’ll see the formats that I use most frequently and will discuss why I would select one over the others. We’ll include such favorites as the Starfish, and the Sailboat, as well as some more specialized formats such as Six Thinking Hats and even one using LEGO® Serious Play®.

As soon as you're enrolled, you'll have access to our community forums, where you can talk to other participants as well as your instructor.
